Bryson - Reindeer have big, giant hooves.
Emmaline - Reindeer live in cold places.
Bryce - Reindeer have fur.
Brianna - Reindeer live with a family.
D'Angelo - Reindeer eat moss.
Katalise - Reindeer can pull sleighs.
Aarnav - Reindeer have 4 legs.

Elf on a Shelf Visits Room 111

Our class elf arrived this week. We had a contest to choose the name. 

The name with the most votes was Max.

Max is sitting on top of the cubbies. He has a great view of the class and Ms. McDaniel!!!

We got to go out because we filled our 3rd star chart. That's 30 stars!!! The extra recess was super fun.

Nighttime Zookeeper Visits South Elementary

Nighttime Zookeeper watches over the animals in a magical online zoo. Professor Penguin, Spy Giraffe, Grudge Bear, and Sergeant Seal live in the zoo.

Zookeeper Paul teaches us how to move like the animals. It was fun. We can't wait to do it again!

National Walkability Day!!

Our 2nd annual National Walkability Day was a success. The children enjoyed eating donuts and walking to school with family and friends. Participants earned a brag tag to display on their backpacks.

Lazy 5 Ranch

We rode the bus to Lazy 5 Ranch. 

Ms. Madison went with us.

We ate a cookie for snack.

We saw lots of birds. They have wings, feathers, and can fly.

Today is Dr. Seuss' Birthday. He would have been 112 years old. His books are silly and fun to read!

The Cat in the Hat came to our class and read us a book. It was his favorite . . . The Cat in the Hat.

Groundhog Day 2015

Much to our delight, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow!!
